VANCOUVER, Canada (transcendmagazine.com) -- UPDATE: A press release from Trek bicycles this morning confirmed our reports that Tracy Moseley has left Kona Bicycles for the newly formed Trek Racing team.
Tracy Moseley has left long time sponsor Kona Bikes after 9 years.
The rumours we have heard but are at this time unable to confirm, are that Moseley was contemplating retirement after a storied career that included 119 podiums finishes, but received an offer that was too good to say no to. Our sources have her filling the as of yet unannounced female downhiller spot on the new Trek team.
This move basically eradicates the Kona Bikes racing effort, which has seen multiple world cup and world championship victories over the last few years.
