Well what a difference a week makes, Team Transcend riders were out riding again this weekend at Bromont and were greeted with warm and sunny weather. Track conditions were great, having dried out nicely since last weekend to the point of being hardpacked and dusty in many areas. Many riders got their first look and taste of the Canada Cup race course. The back side of the mountain was still closed but the upper 20% or so of the course was accessible and reaction was mixed as to the course lay out, apparently they manufactured some rock gardens by piling up some large boulders in one section!
Hopefully the weather stays nice all week and into the weekend, otherwise the combination of wet weather and high rider traffic on that newly laid race course is going to get interesting to say the least. Junior team riders Emmanuel and James are continiuing to progress rapidly on their 224s and should be in fine form for the first race of the year.
Oh yeah, are team Jerseys finally showed up as well and they look great.
