MONTEREY, California (transcendmagazine.com) -- Friday brought sunshine, cool temperatures and pro downhill practice to Otter. No rain this year means lots of dust. Clouds followed riders down the course. Large new jumps dot the top of the course with he typical groomed Otter berms the rest of the way down.
Lineups for the DH were not too bad, but it's only friday. Pro slalom is tomorrow and downhill takes place on Sunday.
Lots of new product is floating around. Marzocchi launches their new 44 fork Saturday evening, Shimano officially unveils 2009 Saint tomorrow morning and there is more than one one-off bike built specifically for Otter as well as other prototypes for '09. Commencal, Jamis, Corsair and a few other all have gravity prototypes floating around.
