LAGUNA BEACH, California (transcendmagazine.com) -- 4x World Champion Brian Lopes rode his new 6" Ibis freeride bike to a win at the 20th annual Leaping Lizard downhill in Telonics, at Laguna Beach.
For those who don't know, the Leaping LIzard is a 2 run format, with riders HIKING their bike to the top for both runs, no shuttles allowed. The race is popular with industry types and saw the likes of Oakley's Steve Blick and SDG's Joe Lawill take to the trails.
Trials legend Hans Rey was the only casualty of the weekend when he sufferred an accident training earlier during the week and managed to break his Tibula/Fibula as well as blow up his ankle.
