FORT WILLIAM, Scotland (transcendmagazine.com) -- The rain held off until the very last of the men, as Sam Hill and Sabrina Jonnier both repeat as World downhill champions. Shortly after the rain started, there was a spate of crashes on the top of the course as it began to get slick and muddy.
Crowd Favorite Steve Peat lost his saddle in a crash and ended up in 67th place. Nathan Rankin tore his skinsuit open and ended up with his rear end hanging out all the way down the mountain.
