Mont Ste Anne WC - Saturday PM Report with Video

MONT STE ANNE, Canada (transcendmagazine.com) -- The beast that is the Ste Anne downhill course is starting to show it's teeth. The rocks and roots are starting to appear once again, and the high speed sections braking bumps are rearing their ugly heads. Lots of flats again today, and at least one broken bone as a Chilean rider went down hard in the new upper woods section and broke her collarbone by the looks of it.

The course is so dry now that it is ridiculously loose. A little rain at this poinbt would help keep the dust down and tack things up. The precipitation that was predicted for tomorrow is now out of the forecast. This year's first dry world cup could be a socrching fast one.

Brendan Fairclough is really pinning it. He looks to be a contender if he can keep his bike under him. He is visibly faster in most sections that anyone else. Matti Lehikoinen and Greg Minnaar are running their own Honda train today, Brendan is usually a few riders out front. David Vasquez is all looking smooth and fast, and Leov make surprise some people this weekend, he seems to be riding extremely well.
