JAPAN (transcendmagazine.com) -- More rumours are starting to leak out about the supposed mass market sales of the Hondan RN01 downhill frame that Greg Minnaar and company have been racing for the last few years.
In an interview Transcend did a year or so ago, we were assured by Honda spokespeople in Japan that Honda had every intention of bringing the bike to the market. Since then not much has changed.
As of late, Bikedaily, a Japanese website, has reported that numerous dealers in Japan have received invites to a special Honda meeting where it is rumoured the frame will be officially unveiled for sale.
Since this time, bikedaily has now confirmed that the framekit "includes frame, rear shock, rear hub and crank". They have also mentioned that Honda has an interbike booth booked for this year.
As of this time, Transcend has not been able to confirm or deny these reports but we are working on this now.
What is the latest news on the release date and price of the Honda RN01? I've been wanting to get my hands on one of those for a while now!
