New World Cup title sponsor?
AIGLE, Switzerland (transcendmagazine.com) -- Anneke Beerten (bikepark.ch team rider for 2007) is reporting on her website that she just got word of a new World Cup title sponsor. Beerten claims that Nissan is now in as title sponsor, and that their will be TV coverage of each event.
"Today I got the word that the 2007 World Cup races will be back on Television. Nissan will be the new title sponsor of the World Cup series. The UCI will appoint a TV company that will cover the entire World Cup and produce a 26" highlights-show and 3" news-show per event. This is exactly what our sport and its sponsors need!! Finally good news!"
We have emails out to a few contacts who may have more information on this, and are trying to confirm this rumour as we speak. More as we get it.
