CAMBORIU, Brazil (transcendmagazine.com) -- First reports are now starting to trickle in from Camboriu. It started to rain yesterday, and it looks like rain will be on the menu throughout the weekend, with possible heavy storms on race day (Sunday).

4x practice started yesterday and DH practice this morning. As per the normal deal heading down there, a few athletes luggage and bikes have not yet shown up. Peat, Fairclough and Rennie are those who are still presently bikeless.

Berny P is saying that the course is flowy with only one rock garden. Key will be to keep your momentum up and let the bike roll she says.

A national event was put on last weekend, and the winning time was 2:44. Should be an interesting weekend if the rain keeps up as the course may slow significantly.
