Bromont Canada Cup - Saturday

BROMONT, Canada (transcendmagazine.com) -- The weather remains the story of the week at Bromont. There was a mild drizzle around noon, which turned into a torrential downpour at 1 o'clock.

The course, as everyone figured, did not hold up well. Most sections of the course have axle deep ruts and holes in them. The new upper section is a complete swamp. 500m of 6" deep mud greets riders at the exit of the first wooded section. Rider Rep Olivier Markon mentioned that they would be meeting tonight to figure out a round about.

Lower sections of the course looked like they had cat. 5 rapids running through them and the new chicane section is completely destroyed with no tape left and 10" deep soupy mud covering the hill side.

The clouds are supposed to move out tonight which may lead to peanut butter type mud during race runs at 4 o'clock if the rain manages to stay away.

Look for proper riding pics of the expert riders and late Elite's tomorrow.
