Mont Ste Anne - Saturday Update

MONT STE ANNE, Canada (transcendmagazine.com) -- The heat has arrived, 39 degrees celsius and climbing today with the humidex.

The downhill course was fast and rough this morning int he last practice session before race day. 8am, and almost everyone was on course ripping off some blazing fast runs. Kovarik, Barel and MInaar are still looking to tbe the fastest, but Sven Martin was definetly cooking as well.

Berni Pizarro is looking good and quick for the ladies, as well as Rachel Atherton and some of the other youngins. The new generation of downhill women is here, and they are fast (to say the least).

4x practice and qualifying begins here in about 15 mins (4pm EST). Look for results as soon as we can get into the press room following qualifying. Many good pics from this morning`s Dh session, but they will have to wait until tonight before they go up.

It looks like World Cup tanning hour around the pool this afternoon. At least they will look good on the podium.
